Why now?

Too much of football is being shaped without the people who make it possible.

The present crisis at FIFA is one warning sign, but the problem reaches much further.

Supporters are being priced away from the game they sustain. For many children, opportunity depends on what their families can afford. Young players can be treated as future assets rather than people. Grassroots teams struggle for pitches, funding and recognition. Promotion, competition and even the future of leagues can be changed without a meaningful voice for the communities affected.

From the world’s largest institutions to national associations, leagues and clubs, power and value have moved further away from football’s foundations. The people who play, coach, organise and support the game should have a genuine part in shaping it.
